Our Founder

Robert Jones founded Jones Glass, LLC, in 2001 after gaining invaluable experience from leading glass and glazing companies from across the nation. During this period, he discovered a passion and deep satisfaction in performing glass installation work on buildings that he could admire and revisit years after completion. 

Jones began his glazing career in 1997, developing his formidable knowledge, skills, and expertise with several companies and union groups, beginning with Washington, DC’s District Council 51 Union. He moved on to work with industry titans, including Maryland-based Ridgeview Glass and PCC Construction Components, California-based All-Pro Glass, and New York-based CBO Glass. One of Jones’ first projects was the Washington, DC, MCI Center (now the Verizon Center), where his work still stands nearly two decades later. 

Committed to always delivering quality service, Jones continued to further his education, enrolling in a three-year apprenticeship program and completing it in two, and later earning his OSHA certification. In addition to his work and education, Jones previously served on the board of the Local 963 Union Hall in Washington, DC, later stepping down to focus on building Jones Glass. 

Jones comes from a family with a strong construction background, and he considers his passion for delivering quality service to be a part of his DNA - his father is a master plumber, and his grandfather owned a mechanical contracting company for over 40 years. Today, Jones considers Jones Glass a family business, counting his two brothers among his dedicated staff. Collectively, the Jones Glass team has over 75 years of experience providing quality glass installation.
